He served in the Indian Army and the NSG from 2004 to 2019.He was the security officer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi (then Gujarat Chief Minister) and was selected as the best commando of the National Security Guard in 2009. Bisht led many important missions including the security of US President Obama's visit in 2010.
